Cookie Policy

How Warmenna uses cookies and similar technologies.

Last updated: July 2026. This document is a template drafted for the Warmenna marketing site and must be reviewed by a qualified solicitor before launch.

1. About this policy

This Cookie Policy explains how the Warmenna website and web application use cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are small text files stored on your device; in this policy we use the term to include related technologies such as localStorage and sessionStorage. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

2. How we use cookies

We keep our use of cookies deliberately minimal. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The cookies and storage we set fall into these groups:

  • Strictly necessary — required to sign you in, keep your session secure, prevent fraud and remember essential settings. These cannot be turned off because the Services would not work without them.
  • Functional — remember choices such as language or a dismissed banner to improve usability.
  • Analytics (optional) — where enabled, privacy-respecting, aggregated analytics help us understand how the site and app are used so we can fix issues and improve. These are set only with your consent.

3. Cookies and storage we set

  • Session and authentication — a first-party cookie or token that identifies your signed-in session. Essential; cleared on sign-out or expiry.
  • Security token — a cross-site request forgery (CSRF) protection token. Essential; session-only.
  • Consent preference — records which cookie categories you have accepted or rejected. Essential; stored for up to 12 months.
  • Local storage — used by the web app to hold interface state and preferences on your device.

Where we rely on a third party for infrastructure or analytics — for example a CDN and edge-security provider, or a privacy-respecting analytics tool — that provider may set its own strictly necessary cookies, or, with your consent, analytics cookies. We do not set targeting or advertising cookies.

4. Managing your preferences

You can control cookies in two ways:

  • Browser controls — all major browsers let you delete or block cookies, or warn you before one is set. Blocking essential cookies will prevent you from signing in to Warmenna.
  • Consent choices — where we offer optional analytics, you can accept or decline them when first prompted and change your choice later. We respect a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal where detected and treat it as a withdrawal of consent for non-essential cookies.

5. Updates and contact

We may update this policy from time to time and will change the "Last updated" date above; for material changes, such as adding a new analytics provider, we will re-prompt for consent. Our use of cookies is regulated by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations 2003 (PECR) and the UK GDPR. Questions can be sent to [email protected]. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle any personal data involved.
